bloody cats
OH MY GOD!!!"! Day off tomorrow. Decided to celebrate with a half bottle of wine. Pleasantly inebriated. Go to kitchen and find corpse of guinea pig on kitchen floor. Not mine I may add, but that's beside the point. I may get a dog in the fullness of time, but never again a cat. Current Mood: pissed off |

things that happen
Was in Sauchihall St today and managed to give a strange girl an orgasm by telling her the time. (There was a camera and a hypnotist involved somewhere) Glasgow can be an odd place. Current Mood: amused |

new years resolution
Never was any good at this. Decided to fast one day a week - so I could eat what I liked the rest of the time. The fast lasted two and a half hours. Oh well, ther's always next year. Happy New Year everyone. Current Mood: amused |

shopping
I went to start my Christmas shopping today since I have a weeks holiday. I must be the worst shopper on the planet. Spent all afternoon trawling through shops, and bought a pack of Christmas cards and a pack of knickers (for myself). God help me. Tomorrow I'm going to visit Jerz's kittens. |

end of holidays
Good thing: My living room is now wallpapered. Bad thing: I have to go to work in the morning. Life can be cruel |

house wrecker
Day two of holiday has ended. Living room has no wallpaper and very little picture rail left. On the plus side it has gained many holes in both expected and unexpected places. I supose this happens in order that I don't lose interest. Most of the paint on the skirting boards and doors has removed itself with just a bit of friendly persuasion from a scraper. I'm on holiday. I have sung and danced and generally celebrated. I have cycled to a garden centre and bought myself 3 ferns which are very lovely, and tomorrow I will plant them. Current Mood: happy |

I spent the entire morning weeding the garden and managed to have a coffee and read my book while sitting in the tree. Note to self: Must find a way of making a more comfortable seat up there. Current Mood: accomplished |

ah yes. the iris. you are the mysterious one of the bunch. you sometimes have a sad tinge about you, yet you're still great to be around. you probably have a deep poetic soul. express it if you aren't already. you probably like to be alone, but when you do get out with your friends you enjoy it. you really are a trend setter, even if you may not realise it. people are drawn to your charisma and want to be like you. try to have a more optimistic outlook-- things are probably better than they seem! what non-stereotypical flower would you be (with pictures) brought to you by QuizillaI'm so glad it's one I actually like. It's late and I'm going to bed. I'm going to be so tired in the morning, but it's not even dark here yet. It's 20 past mid-night and the sky is still blue. Current Mood: tiredCurrent Music: Nick Drake: Laurel Canyon |

Well, I have a lovely new fire, occupying a dismal room in sore need of redecoration. When I'll ever get time to do it I don't know. But at least some ideas are forming of what I'll eventually end up with. Went to see The Matrix. I may go again. I don't want to wait 'till the DVD comes out before I see it next. Thought the pump in the pond was broken so I took it apart and it only needed cleaned out, so it's working again - yay. My sea holly is going to flower for the first time.It may be sad but such things excite me. There are also lots of newts in the ponds so they must be having a good year. I think I'm getting a Saturday off in a week or two so maybe I'll get a chance to see Ewa. Current Mood: cheerfulCurrent Music: Roxy Music: Avalon |

debbie
A distant relative of mine has died. Her name was Debbie Barham. Her grandparents were cousins of my fathers. She was suffering from anorexia and died suddenly from heart failure. She was only 27 or 28. She wrote for the B.B.C. and others, and was very well thought of. I looked her up on the web. She seems to be involved in some interesting sites although I still haven't figured out exactly what she did. Current Mood: sad |

How did it get to be after mid-night on friday? I seem to have lost half a week. Started watching West Wing and couldn't stop. I wondered why I never knew what happened after the big shoot out. They never screened it here. They went straight from series one to somewhere else. How can they do these things? I'm going to watch half of series two and then I'll need to wait God knows how long to get the second half. Lee's wedding presie is a georgeous mouth blown frosted glass vase. It's shaped like an urn, stands about 18" high, and is a golden yellow colour, darker at the base and light at the top. Around the widest part is a free form design that looks sort of like rocks and grasses. I think it's stunning, so if they don't like it I hope they give it back to me and don't just break it. Nothing much else to say about today. Work was a bitch. The garden is happy because it rained. Current Mood: tired |
